One on One

One-on-One Volunteering

Residential Mentors (one hour a week)
Meet with their mentee once a week to discuss life, play board games, craft, or do other activities you both enjoy. Your mentorship will last as long as your mentee is here at Vista Maria, which is usually a three-to-six month commitment. Female volunteers, 20 years of age and older, only please.

Residential Tutors (3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. every Monday)
Work with our Clara B. Ford Academy teachers to help students with homework and do activities to help our girls succeed in school. Both men and women are eligible to become tutors.

DREAM Mentors and Tutors (5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. every other Tuesday OR Thursday, October through June)
Help students from both the Clara B. Ford and Vista Meadows Academies in our afterschool programs plan for their future with activities like ACT preparation, helping with college essays, or helping with career workshops. We encourage both men and women, 20 years of age and older, to participate as DREAM volunteers.
