Meredith Reese
Chief Operating Officer
Meredith joined the Vista Maria family in 2003 and has been instrumental in shaping many of the agency’s programs and services. Her comprehensive experience includes a certification in integrated behavioral health and primary care with a focus on pediatrics, as well as extensive expertise in mental health, trauma, and adolescent development. She holds a master’s degree in mental health counseling with an emphasis on marriage and family therapy and is a licensed professional counselor.
A respected speaker and trainer, Meredith is frequently invited to present on topics related to human trafficking and trauma. She serves on the board of the Michigan Human Trafficking Task Force and continues to be a fierce advocate for survivors through education and community engagement.
Meredith’s leadership and dedication have been recognized with numerous honors. In 2014, she received the Department of Health and Human Services Best Practice Award for her work in the anti-trafficking movement. In 2020, Crain’s Detroit Business named Meredith as one of their Notable Women in Health for expanding access to care by adding on-campus psychiatric providers and pediatricians to Vista Maria’s team. Most recently, in 2024, she received the Flinn Foundation/Leonard W. Smith Mental Health Hero Award for her unwavering commitment to youth mental health.
