Your privacy is a primary concern to us a Vista Maria. Our goal in expanding and clarifying our procedures for the collection and use of data is to ensure the highest level of confidentiality and security.
When you provide your personal information to Vista Maria (name, address, phone number, or donation information) we will not give or sell your individual information to any outside company for its use in marketing or solicitation. We will maintain the confidentiality of your personal information and it will be used only to support your relationship with Vista Maria. Additionally, internal practices help protect your privacy by limiting employee access to and use of visitor data.
At Vista Maria we are helping you maintain control over your personal data while fostering the growth of a more interactive on-line environment. Vista Maria collects two types of information: personal voluntary registration information, such as name and email address, and non-personal statistical information, such as site traffic and usage patterns. Our intention is to only send e-mail to customers or to friends of Vista Maria whom we believe have chosen to receive such transmissions. At any time you have the right to “opt out” of receiving future communications.
Vista Maria also cares about consumer privacy. Information that we collect about our consumers is private. In addition, we allow only authorized employees or agents access to personal information. Unless a consumer gives us permission in writing, we will only disclose information for the purposes of treatment, payment, and business operations or when we are required by law to do so. This website is public domain and, therefore, does not contain any private consumer information.
Thank you for choosing to visit Vista Maria’s on-line location, and thank you for your support as we continue to transform the lives of the children and families we serve.
ACHIEVING COMPLIANCE WITH THE PRISON RAPE ELIMINATION ACT
Signed by the Attorney General on May 16, 2012 and released to the United States
Department of Justice on May 17, 2012
In 2016, Vista Maria completed the Juvenile Justice Residential Facility Sexual Abuse Data Census Survey. Data was measured in the following areas: non-consensual sexual acts, abusive sexual contacts, youth and staff sexual harassment, and staff sexual misconduct. Vista Maria pleasantly reported zero substantiated complaints in any of the above listed areas. One allegation of staff misconduct was reported, however, evidence was insufficient to make a final determination that any inappropriate events had actually occurred and the complaint was not substantiated.
Vista Maria encourages all youth, staff, volunteers and the public to report any potential suspected or actual sexual abuse or any type of abuse or neglect. For such allegations, a report can be filed directly with Child Protective Services at 855-444-3911.
Attached is a copy of Vista Maria’s PREA Policy regarding understanding and maintaining PREA compliance.
